David S. Clark

Age 93, passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital following a brief illness and a long life devoted to his wife and family. The love of his life, Marian Adair Clark preceded him in death in October 24, 2001. David is survived by his loving children, Sheila D. Canfield (Ronnie Garrett) of Wartrace, TN; Bruce A. (Sheila) Clark of Bonita Springs, FL; Bryan G. Clark of Elmira, NY; Sarah J. Richtmyer (Harold DeCamp) of Elmira, NY; Jeffrey L. (Cissy) Clark of Ashland City, TN; along with several beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he dearly loved. He is also survived by brothers, Fritz and Teddy Clark; sisters, Mildred Folmer and Myrtle Keithline. David was a WW II Veteran of the US Army and was a retiree of Elm Chevrolet of Elmira. He was born in Elmira, the son of the late Arthur David and Frances Elizabeth (Schoonover) Clark. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services honoring his life will be celebrated following the visitation at 7 PM. His dear friend, Reverend Harold DeCamp will officiate. The Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord military honors to Mr. Clark following the service. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of his family.
