Dean Earl Congdon A lifelong Caton community resident passed away December 16th, 2011 a day before his 68th birthday. Dean was the son of the late Richard and Gladys (Doebler) Congdon.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patsy (Stickler) Congdon of Pine City and Son:Scott (Dorothy) Congdon of Pine City, NY.Also surviving him are his grandchildren: Sarah, Isaac, and Logan Congdon; two sisters: Phyllis (Kenneth) Hill of Pine City, Janet Robbins of Pine City and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Dean is predeceased by his daughter: Denise Ann Congdon in 1989 and brother-in- law: John Robbins in 2005. He was a loving husband and father who liked to keep busy.Dean worked for the Local # 139 Electrical Union and most recently the Elmira City School District maintenance department.He loved woodworking, making toys, and furniture. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Monday, December 19th, 2011 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM.Funeral and committal services will follow the calling hours at 8:00PM.Lay Pastor John Knapp will officiate.Graveside services will be held at a time convenient with the family at the Elmwood Cemetery, Caton, NY.
