Was born December 10, 1938 in Elmira, NY passed away very unexpectedly at her home on Orchard Park Road in Pine City, NY Monday, July 30, 2007 at the age of 68. Her loving husband and friend for over 41 years Nicholas Muccigrosso predeceased her May 12, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Anna & Alex Mekos; step-mother, Florence Stuck; sister-in-law, Rose Marie Vesneske. She is survived by her son, Anthony Tony(Onalee) Muccigrosso of Catlin, NY; daughter, JoAnn (Robert) Tippins of Albany, NY; son, Michael Muccigrosso (Nadine Wholeben) of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Nicholas Muccigrosso of Corning, NY; and Cole Tippins and Emilia Tippins of Albany, NY; siblings, Fred Butch (Liz) Southard of Pine City, NY; George (Debbie) Mekos of West Elmira, NY; Jim (Carol) Southard of Endicott, NY; Mary (Jim) Bush of Horseheads, NY; Charlotte (Al) McMillan of Helena, MT; Rick (Sue) Southard of York, PA; Randy (Lynn) Southard of Horseheads, NY; brother-in-laws, Dan Muccigrosso of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Don Vesneske of Elmira, NY; along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends, Judy and Ron OBrien, Frank and Jeanne Kraft all of Elmira, NY; Bob and Ellen Baker of Horseheads, NY, Jean Smith of NC.Deanna was a devoted communicant of St. Marys Church. As well as being retired, reading a good book, her most favorite passion was being a grandma to her 3 precious grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Prayer Service conducted by the Reverend Richard Farrell will be held there on Saturday at 8:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Marys Church 224 Franklin Street Elmira, NY with Father Farrell, celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Peter and Pauls Cemetery where Deanna will be laid to rest with her beloved Nick. Memorial donations may be directed to a charity of ones choice in her memory.
