Debra J. Seymour

Seymour-Doan, Debra J.Debra Seymour (DOAN) 58 of Elmira, NY, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Debra was born August 30, 1956 in Elmira, NY.She is survived by her parents, Vern and June Doan; sister, Lynda Trowbridge; brother, Randy (Amani) Doan; her four children, Melissa (Shawn), Ian (Peggy), Robert (Jessica), and Valerie Lynn; eight grandchildren who she loved dearly, Alexis, Andrew, Aimee, Kaitlynne, Mariah, Hayden, Jerimiah, and Ava Lynn; along with several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, Debra was predeceased by nephew Steven Trowbridge.Debra was very committed and active in two churches, Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church (PAUMC) and Elmira Wesleyan Church. Debra graduated from Troy High School in 1974 with a diploma. Debra also graduated from EBI in 1991 with a degree for Home Health Care. Debra loved helping others and spending as much time with her grandchildren as she could. She loved to attend church ,read and write. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Elmira Wesleyan Church, 424 South Main Street.
