Delores A. (Adams) Burlew Was born January 15, 1934 at the family home Pine City, NY the daughter of the late Floyd and Nevah (Andrews) Adams passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Corning Rehabilitation Center in Corning at the age of 81. Her brothers, Robert "Hot Rod" Adams and Rexford Adams also preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving siblings: Anita Wood of Mansfield, PA; Marlene Hitchcock of Elmira, NY; Floyd (Lisa) Adams of Millerton, PA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, with whom she helped raise and was a "mother figure" to; along with many cousins and several friends. Delores retired as a lab technician from Westinghouse after 40 years of dedicated service. For nearly 10 years she volunteered at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. In her earlier years, Delores enjoyed bowling and was very good at it. She had a great love for her animals and the outdoors and could handle her own share of chores on the family farm. It has been said of Delores that she made the best cheesecake ever. At her request there will be no prior calling hours. Services will be held privately at the convenience of her family in the Jackson Center Cemetery.
