Age 81, of Himrod, NY and Bradenton, FL formerly of Elmira, NY, went to be with her heavenly father and family unexpectedly Friday, May 20th, 2011 at the Strong Medical Center, Rochester, NY. Delores was the daughter of the late Antoon (Anthony) and Najla (Annie) Koussa Shaieb. She was born in Detroit, Michigan November 15th, 1929.She was married to her beloved husband Samuel G. Karam for 62 yearsand is survived by their six children James (Lucy), Georgia, Sandra (Armand), Mary, Samuel Jr. (Bernadette),Michael (Sherry); grandchildren: Sarah, James, Derrick, Georgette, Jayna, Brian, Christina, Samuel III, Michaelyn, Zachary, great grandchildren: Chase, Cara, Sophia and Caleb and her dog "Buddy". She is also survived by the Randall, and Miller families of Elmira, along with the Shaieb family of Michigan and California. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Wednesday, May 25th, 2011 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM and again from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, May 26th at St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira Southside. Graveside services will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park privately at the convenience of the family. Delores worked for Chemung County for 28 years. She was Deputy Registrar for several of those years serving the community she loved. She was a Communicate of St. Mary's Church, a lifelong member of the Ladies of Charity. She was artistically gifted, loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Seneca Lake always brought her home, and held special memories for her.
