Dennis K. EplerAge 56 of Elmira Heights, NY, went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 7, 2013 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Epler; mother, Ruth A. Johnson; brother David (Peggy) Epler; sister Laurie (Norm) Schoener; step children, Herb ( Kathy) Hatch, Ben (Audrey) Hatch, Peter (Melissa) Hatch, and Martha (Josh) Alinovi; one special grandson, Hunter; his mother in-law; Phyllis Greene; brothers in-law, Robert (Melody) Greene, and Matthew (Stacey) Greene; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren; special companions, “Cricket” “Coco” “Molly” “Jake” and “Princess”.Dennis is predeceased by his father, Ken Epler, his first wife Karen Epler, and his grandparents. Retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force, Dennis was Commander of the Clarence B. Oliver Post #154 of American Legion, Lay Leader at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, member of the Chemung County Board of Elections, member of the Chemung County Honor Guard, and a member of the Vietnam Veteran’s Association.
