Dolores Anne Decker

Decker, Dolores Anne age 83 of Horseheads and Hornell, NY passed away at home Saturday, April 16, 2016. Dolores was the daughter of the late Frank and Tekla Chabin. She was born in Scranton, PA on July 18, 1932. Her husband, Donald M. Decker predeceased her in 2006. She is survived by her daughters: Laura Abbott of Pulaski, NY, Diane (Harry) Backer of Pine City, NY; sons: Dennis Decker (Sandy Norton ) of Newark, NY, Donald M. (Mary) Decker Jr. of Willow Springs, IL; daughter: Dolores Hurst (George Mockewich) of Essington, PA; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; along with a brother, Frank Chabin of Endicott, NY. Besides her parents and husband, Dolores is predeceased by her son: Jerome Decker and granddaughter: Samantha Abbott. Dolores loved to travel with her husband. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to cook. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made in Dolores’s name to Meals on Wheels. The Family would like to thank the Out Patient Dialysis Unit at the Arnot Ogden Hospital and Dr. Paulette Lewis at the Big Flats Guthrie office for their compassionate care of our mother.
