Donald K. “Skip” HarshAge 65, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Thursday May 21, 2015, in his home on Waneta Lake. He was the son of the late Merle C. Harsh and Barbara (Wood) Harsh.He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia “Patty” Harsh; and his daughter, Francie J. Harsh; son Timothy “Tim” D. Harsh; grandsons, Alexander “Alex” D. Harsh, and James D. D. Harsh; sister, Patricia “Patty” Harsh DeGraw, further survived by his niece and nephews, Lisa Montrose, Tony Montrose and Dan DeGraw and great-nephew, Jake Montrose; brother, Tom “Mike” (Nancy)Harsh, further survived by his nephew, Christopher Harsh.Faithful companion, Sammy.Many near and dear friends. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sargent.Donald retired from the New York State Parks and Recreation and Historical Preservation.He was a loving father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting.His laid back easy going spirit would make you want to join the fun.He enjoyed woodworking and watching NASCAR races.He enjoyed his retirement years living at Waneta Lake.The stories and good times of years past will be shared by family and friends for a lifetime.
