After her long courageous battle with ovarian cancer, Donna R. Aderhold, born April 29, 1964, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015. Donna was pre-deceased by her mother, Nancy Manning and her father, Donald Aderhold. She is survived by her loving husband, William Briem; brothers, Jeff Manning and John (Sabita) Aderhold; sisters, Christine Fuller and Michelle Terwilliger; along with several nieces and nephews whom she adored. In addition, Donna had many very special people in her life, including a very special relationship with her cousin Julie. Donna graduated from Southside High School in 1982. Shortly thereafter, she became a registered nurse and spent the next 28 years at St. Joseph's Hospital doing what she truly loved. On a modest income, Donna traveled the world. She took her first trip to Egypt all by herself at the age of 23. From that time on, she chose an exotic or historical place to travel to every year. Among some of her travel sites include France, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Prague, Kenya, Venezuela, China, Thailand, Amsterdam, Hungary, Scotland, Ireland, and Morocco, which was her favorite destination of all. Donna had many tastes when it came to travel. She enjoyed discovering the world by visiting five continents, yet also had a passion for simple camping at Keuka Lake. Donna loved life and lived in the moment, surrounding herself with friends and family. She was the ultimate hostess and entertainer. She threw the most elaborate gatherings and loved her "girls' nights" filled with her favorite music of jazz and classical, laughter and best friends. Donna was the matriarch of her family, orchestrating all of the holiday dinners. Further, she was also the glue that held her circle of friends together.Through her amazing circle of friends and summers at the lake, she finally met the love of her life, Billy. Though night and day, they both brought out the best in each other. Billy brought a smile to Donna's face that only he could. Services will be held at St. Mary's Church on the Southside at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August27, 2015, followed by interment at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held at Donna and Billy's home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Church.
