Doris Jean Dunn "Deeda"

Age 89 of Elmira, NY passed away on Saturday July 16, 2011 at Elcor Health Services. She is survived by daughters, Susan (Dale) Little,and Rebecca (Dennis) Vegard; son David (Susan) Palmer; grandchildren, Scott ( Ivette) Little, Kimberly Baldwin (Fiancé, Rick Lackey), Ian (Jennifer) Palmer, Christopher (Rachel) Palmer, Kelly Vegard, Jennifer (Jonathan) Murphy, and Katie Vegard; 11 great grandchildren, also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by herhusband'sErnest Palmer Jr, and Ronald Dunn, also three brothers. Doriswas a United States Navy Veteran of WW II, and a retired Nurse from St. Joseph Hospital, Elmira, NY. Family and friends are invited to call at the Grace Episcopal Church 375 West Church Street Elmira, NY Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 4;00 PM to 6:00 PM. Her visitation will take place in the Saint Michael the Archangel Chapel at Grace Church, followed by the Requiem Mass that will be said by The Rev. Fr. Donald W. Matthews at 6 PM. Interment will take place on Wednesday at 12 PM (Noon) in the Woodlawn Cemetery with Deacon Daisy Kirkpatrick offering the committal prayers and where the Chemung County Honor Squad will accord Mrs. Dunn Military Honors.
