Doris M. Hynes

Age 89, of Bethany Manor, Horseheads, NY, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005. Doris was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Zemma M. LaBarre Hunsinger, born December 8, 1915 in Sayre, PA. She is survived by her son, Ted (Anne) Martin of Beaver Dams; 4 grandchildren, Kim (Kirk) Smith of Watkins Glen; Deb (Greg) Clark of Burdett; Mark Johnson of California; Sam (Melody) Johnson of North Carolina; 7 great-grandchildren; nephew, Ron Hynes of Breesport; and very special friend, Dolores Neuman of Buffalo. Doris was predeceased by her first husband, Theodore Martin; second husband, Sidney Hynes; daughter and son-in-law, Carol (Bob) Johnson; and infant daughter, Mary Doris Smith. She attended Pine Valley United Methodist Church, and volunteered for many years at the Bethany Retirement Center.Doris was a very social person, and in her early years, she was a devoted mother and Cub Scout leader.She was a dance instructor, loved to travel, and was a terrific friend to many. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Bethany Courtyards Activity Room, 3005 Watkins Road, Horseheads, NY on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 10:30 AM.Pastor William Wells will officiate.
