Dorothea Mckee

Was born July 15, 1917 in Leolyn, PA, the daughter of the late Harry and Leah (Irving) Ward, and passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital. Her loving husband of 37 years, Roger H. McKee in 1971, beloved son, Bruce R. McKee in 1978, brother, Harry E. Ward and sister, Eleanor Striker, predeceased Dorothea. She is survived by her loving son, Larry W. McKee of Rochester, NY; sister, Margaret (Arthur) Symonds of Elmira, NY; brother, William (Ruth) Ward of Rochester, NY; daughter-in-law, Mary Vincent McKee of Elmira, NY; sister-in-law, Betty Sullivan of Elmira, NY; beloved grandchildren, David, Roger, Larry, Bruce, Nicole, Christine and Carolyn; along with 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Affectionately known as ?Dotty? by her friends and co-workers, she retired from St. Joseph?s Hospital after many years of faithful and dedicated service as a nurse?s aide. She was a communicant of St. Peter and Paul?s Church. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Friday, January 14, 2005 from 4 to 6 PM. Funeral Services celebrating ?Dotty?s life will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours. (6:00 PM) Deacon George Welch will officiate.
