Dorothy L. Barnes

Age 78, from Sayre, PA went home to be with her Lord after a brief illness at the Robert Packer Hospital, Wednesday, February 16, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Mort, her son; Norman Barnes, daughters; Pam (Joe) MacCoy and Tonia (Greg) Wheeler, grandchildren; Shane Barnes, John and Kayla MacCoy, Julie and Kimberly Wheeler and great grandson; Ryan Barnes. Also surviving is her sister; Beverly (Dan) Nosowicz and brothers, Foster (Beebee) Gainesand James (Zip) Slaybaugh and several nieces and nephews. She loved cooking, baking and collecting trinkets. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira/ Southport on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 1 pm to 4 pm with funeral service following at 4 pm.
