DuVall, Dorothy P. DotOf Gillett, PAAge 90, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Dot was born June 16, 1917 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Oliver and Grace (Wagner) Johnston. Dorothy was married to the late Virgil W. DuVall. She retired form Remington Rand after several years of dedicated service. In her spare time, she loved being outside, in the sunshine, doing her yard work. She was an avid reader and in the last seven months, her greatest joy came from spending time with the light of her life, her great great granddaughter, whom she loved dearly, Hailey Jo Lee. Dorothy is survived by a daughter; June A. DuVall of Rochester, NY; son-in-laws, Benton Frisbie of Burlington; Jim King of CT; granddaughters, Melissa (Thomas) Chapman, with whom she lived with in Gillett, PA; Shawne (Michael) Flanders of CT; Shannon (John) Durso of CT; grandsons, Benton (Pat) Frisbie of Pine City, NY; Don (Marsha) Grimes of Buffalo, NY; Doug (Cheryl) Grimes of Philadelphia, PA; David Grimes of Rochester, NY; along with several other great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Other survivors include: brothers and sister-in-laws, Fritz (Joyce) Janowsky, Richard (Linda) Janowsky, Russell (Lucille) Johnston all of Gillett, PA; also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Virgil in 1991; daughters, Darlene Frisbie in 1981 and Sharon King in 1995; brother and sister-in-law, George (Shirley) Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah Sally (Art) Lattimer. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Funeral Services celebrating Dots will be held there following the visitation. (3 PM) The Reverend Gary Mammarello will officiate. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family in the Hanlon Hill Cemetery, Centerville, PA where Dorothy will be laid to rest with her beloved Virgil.
