HARRIS-JARDIN, Dorothy Jean (Dottie) Retired Elementary TeacherWas born April 9, 1946 in Hornell, NY the daughter of the late Warren G. and Doris (Mead) Harris, passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital at the age of 62. Dottie is survived by her loving husband, Dale Jardin of Elmira, NY; daughter, Maribeth (Kevin) Elmquist of Horseheads, NY; son, John Joseph Augustine (Tammy Stickler) of Elmira, NY; daughter, Candy (Tom) Anderson of Manchester, NH; sons, Scott Jardin of Elmira, NY; Glenn Jardin of Nichols, NY; brothers, Donald (Mary) Harris of OK; Philip Glenn Harris Rexville, NY; Joel (Kathy) Harris Canandaigua, NY; sister, Patricia (Ron) Irion of Rexville, NY; brother, Thomas Harris of Live Oak, FL; mother-in-law, Doris Monroe of Elmira, NY; brother-in-laws, Danny (Pam) Jardin of PA; sister-in-law, Deborah (Ronald) Toliver of Creston, NC; along with 8 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends. Dottie retired from the Elmira City School District after 33 years of dedicated service as an Elementary Teacher with Broadway Elementary School. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 6:00 PM to celebrate Dotties life and honor her memory. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society 1316 College Ave. Elmira, NY 14901 or to the Salvation Army Citadel 1101 South Lowry Stillwater, OK 74074 in her memory.
