Douglas W. Blanchard

Douglas William Blanchard Age 25, of Elmira, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 24, 2016 at home. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Louise (Haggis) Sease. He is survived by his loving parents, Gerald D. and Caroline M. (Sease) Blanchard; sister, Mary Blanchard; paternal grandparents, Ronald and Jane Blanchard; aunts, Robin Blanchard and Karen Blanchard; along with several cousins, many friends and his special canine companion, "Candy Cane". After graduating from Southside High School, Doug was employed by Mandells's Restaurant working in the kitchen with his father. He then was employed by F. M. Howell, Trayer Products and was currently working as a sales associate with Target in Horseheads, NY. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Funeral services celebrating his life will follow the visitation at 1 PM. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Interment will take place in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
