Edith "Edie" Louise Burleigh

Edith Louise "Edie" Burleigh Age 82, was born January 16, 1935 in Roseville, PA, the daughter of the late Roy J. and Ella L. (Moore) Burleigh. "Edie," as she was affectionately known, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 2, 2017 peacefully at Bethany Manor SNF. Her brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Dolores (Bailey) Burleigh predeceased her. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: LeRoy and Francine Burleigh of Mansfield, PA; nephews: Roy (Joan) Burleigh of Mansfield, PA; James (Cheryl) Burleigh of Columbia Cross Roads, PA; Joseph (Helena) Ross of Blossburg, PA; great nieces: Evelyn and Eleanor Burleigh, Elizabeth Burleigh, and Linda Thompson; great nephew, Chris Ross. She is also survived by her dear and close friends who led "Edie" to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Cal and Clara Jones. She was a faithful member of the Elmira Christian Center and was a former Sunday School Teacher. She retired from Fairway Springs Company after many years of dedicated service. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 5 PM. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Interment will take place privately in the Columbia Valley Cemetery, Columbia Cross Roads, PA.
