Edna J. Link

Edna J. Link Was born March 1, 1931 in Elmira, the daughter of the late Richard and Ida (Horton) Strong, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the age of 85. Her husband of 33 years, Vincent F. Link preceded her in death on July 12, 2008. Edna is survived by her loving children: son and daughter-in-law, Zane and Penny Palmer of Meridian, ID; daughter, Barbara Sawyer of Elmira, NY; grandchildren: Zane (Alexis) Palmer of Meridian, ID; Andy Sawyer (Lili) of Long Island, NY; great grandchildren: Kyla and Cole Palmer; Adelaide Sawyer; her beloved pets: feline friend, "Tess"; and canine companion, with whom she took many walks, "Celine". Edna retired from Westinghouse after several years of dedicated service. She was known in her neighborhood for her gardening skills and did some of her best work at the Mark Twain Golf Course and at Eldridge Park. In accordance to her wishes there will be no prior services. She will be laid to rest with her beloved Vince in the Woodlawn National Cemetery Wall at a time convenient to her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Eldridge Park Carousel Preservation Society, PO Box 3056, Elmira, NY 14905.
