Age 50, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.He was a lifelong resident of the Pine City community.Ed is predeceased by his grandparents, Harold and Mary Farmer.Surviving are his loving daughters; Jenna (Josh) Farmer-Burt, and Amy Farmer (Andy Bennett); his grandson, Gavyn Bennett; his parents, George and Joan Farmer; sister, Wendy (Mark) McDonald; aunt and uncle, Marilyn and Ken Norman; devoted mother of his daughters, Lori Farmer; his companion, Elania Turner; and lifelong friend, Bill Fields.Ed was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and nephew.His passion was to be in the woods hunting, and just spending time scouting around,was one of his many hobbies.He also enjoyed woodworking and restoring cars and buggies.Ed was most accomplished at growing plants for Farmer's Garden Center, and we can't leave out Farmer's Pick Your Own Strawberries, which went on for five generations.He was most recently employed by Cortland Sand & Gravel as a supervisor.Ed was a one of a kind individual and was known by many.He will surely be missed, but his memory will live on in us forever.At Ed's request, private services will be held.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund for Ed's grandchildren:C/O Lori Farmer, 32 Wilson Drive, Pine City, NY 14871.
