Edward E. Hackett

Age 72, of Elmira, NY, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph?s Hospital, Elmira, NY on Wednesday, March 23, 2005.His brothers, John D. Hackett and Duane Hackett, and his sister, Wilda Rearick, predeceased him.Edward is survived by his sisters, Eva McCarthy of California; June (Ron) Van Ness of Elmira, NY; Joni (Dan) Sweeney of Mehoopany, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.Edward was a self-employed carpenter for many years and a US Navy veteran of the Korean War.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Monday, March 28, 2005 from 3 to 5 PM.Funeral and committal services will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 5 PM, with the Rev.
