Edward R. Proulx

Edward R. Proulx, 87, of Elmira, NY passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016. He is predeceased by his wife, Ingrid Proulx; and former wife, Genevieve Proulx. Edward is survived by his sister, Theresa Crowley of MD; step-daughters, Cindy (Joseph) DeLaney, Gina (William) Colavito of NJ, Linda Ambrozik of WV, Joyce Wood of Elmira, and Mary Lou Ervay of Erin, NY; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Edward loved his Hardinge parties. He also enjoyed playing euchre and watching NASCAR races. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA, 2435 Route 352, Elmira, NY 14903 or to St. Mary’s Church, 224 Franklin St, Elmira, NY 14904. A memorial service to celebrate Edwards’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 12:00 PM (noon).
