Was born January, 22, 1915 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late James and Philomeana (Carozza) DeNunzio passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the Bethany Courtyards in Horseheads at the age of 94. Her loving husband, Edgar L. Burnett on May 28, 1995 predeceased her. Her brothers, Phil, James, Joseph DeNunaio and sister, Mary Addabbo also preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, James and Kathleen Burnett Sr. of Glendale, AZ; grandson, James (Christine) Burnett Jr. of Greensboro, GA; granddaughter, Jennifer (Joseph) VanWart of Rockledge, FL; great grandchildren, Cade and Keegan VanWart of Rockledge, FL; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Elmira and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She was a former employee Westinghouse and Remington Rand. Eleanor along with her beloved husband, Edgar owned and operated the former Crossroads Bar as well as the Hi - Bar in Elmira. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary's Church 224 Franklin Street Elmira on Wednesday, December 23rd at 10:00 AM with the Reverend John DeSocio to celebrate her Mass.
