Age 68 passed away Monday, January 26, 2004 in the Robert Packer Hospital after a long, courageous battle with diabetes.Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Katherine Adell Vosburgh; her first husband, Edward G. Close, on August 31, 1995; and her sister, Norma Steiner.She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Curren of Pine City, NY;beloved son, Leonard and Julie Close; stepson, Ronnie and Tammie Curren; stepdaughter, Joanna and Brett Green, all ofElmira, NY;brothers, Durland and Pedie Vosburgh of San Bernardino, CA; Elwin and Bonnie Vosburgh of Perkins, SC; sisters, Kathy and Norman Routhier of Tampa, FL; Verna Travis of Ft. Meyers, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Bennett of Elmira, NY; Jane Paul of Horseheads, NY; Richard Curren of Pine City, NY; cousin, Virginia Messing of Millerton, PA;along with several nieces and nephews.Eleanor graduated from Southside High School Class of 1953 and retired from Moore Business Forms with over 30 years of service.She loved to play Bingo, cards, cooking, and traveling.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Thursday 29, 2004 from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM.Funeral services will be held there on Friday at 1 PM with Deacon Robert Stowell officiating.Interment will follow in St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
