Age 92 of Elmira, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
Eleanor was born in Elmira, NY on May 25, 1930, the daughter of the late Fritz and Gertrude (VanLuven) Gromes.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Bob and Sandy Bertelsen, Nancy Bertelsen, Kathy and Larry Rhode, and Doug Bertelsen; several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren and extended family.
Eleanor was predeceased by her five brothers and sisters; sons, David and Joe; and her husbands, Arthur Bertelsen and Jack White.
Ellie was a hard working woman and didn't stop until she retired at 80.
Per Ellie's wishes, there will be no calling hours or service and interment will be held at the family's convenience.
