Age 96 passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the Warren Haven Nursing Home in Oxford, NJ. Born October 24, 1910, in Ithaca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maude Lathrop. Betty was a retired buyer for the S. F. Izard Company, having worked for the company for over 28 years. She moved to Hackettstown, NJ in 1998 and lived there until moving to Warren Haven in May of 2005. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul M. Buell, a prominent Elmira florist and by her brother, Lawrence Lathrop. Betty is survived by her two sons, Robert L. Moulter of Hackettstown, NJ; Winston R. Cooper and his wife, Kathy, of Pemberton, NJ; two sisters, Mary Benedict an husband Phillip of Wiersdale, FL; Gretchen Lathrop of New Port Richey, FL; step-son, Robert Buell of Chattanooga, TN; daughter-in-law, Heidi Buell of Chattanooga, TN; three grandchildren, James Cooper and wife Mary of Eagle River, AK; Elizabeth Hopkins and husband Mark of Morris Plains, NJ; Jeffrey Cooper and wife Alexis of Charleston, SC; five great grandchildren, Christine Cooper of New Egypt, NJ; Connor and Lauren Hopkins of Morris Plains, NJ; Owen and Ethan Cooper of Charleston, SC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held there on Thursday, August 30th at 10:00 AM. The Reverend Joseph Cotner will officiate. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
