CRIMMER, Elizabeth Adella (Jones) Devoted wife and mother, age 91 formerly of Wayne, NY passed on to be with Philip, Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Betty was born April 21, 1924 to Lial and Corneila (Chapman) Jones in Utica, NY. She married Philip Edward Crimmer on November 14, 1946 at St. Francis Church in Utica, NY. Betty was a homemaker and then went into banking. She retired from Steuben Educators Credit Union in Painted Post, NY. She was a former girls scout leader and a 60 year continuous member of the American Legion Auxiliary. They had been married 55 years when Philip passed in 2002. Phil and Betty had a good 20 years of retirement spending 7 months at their home on Waneta Lake and 5 months in Myrtle Beach, SC. After Philip's passing Betty moved to Elmira to be closer to her family. Surviving are her loving children: Joyce Asiello of Pine City, NY; James (Kathleen) Crimmer of Corning, NY; Kathleen (Joseph) Coleman of Southport, NY; Nancy (Ronald) Ackerman of Pine City, NY; grandchildren: Albert "AJ" Asiello, Daniel Asiello, Beth (Mark) Sullivan, Erin (Chris) Daniel, Matthew Coleman, Andrew Coleman, Brian (Dana) Comstock and Patrick Comstock; great grandchildren: Taylor and Brayden Comstock, Kendall Comstock and Cameron Rowley. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm. A Memorial Service honoring her life will follow the visitation at 1 PM. The Reverend John DeSocio will celebrate Betty's service. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery Corning, NY where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Philip at a time convenient to her family.
