Elizabeth L. Philbin

Age 77 of Mt. Zoar Street, Southport, NY, passed into peaceful rest, Tuesday, February 8th, 2005 at the Seneca View Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, NY. Elizabeth was the daughter of the late David and Esther Scholl Flasphaler, born in Elmira, NY December 23, 1927. She was the wife of 35 years to the late Gerard R. Philbin, who predeceased her on April 10th, 1983. Also predeceasing her are her brothers, David and Gordon Flasphaler.Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda R. and William R. Drake of Horseheads, NY; Michele J. and Edward G. Green of DeRuyter, NY; Andrea B. and Philip T. Stephens of Newport News, VA; Carol A. Johnson and Fiancé Larry Tost of Indiana, PA; grandchildren, Heather R. Drake of Horseheads, NY; William J. (Heather A.) Drake of Big Flats, NY; Jeremy W. (Ami S.) Drake of Elmira, NY; Jillian Drake of Horseheads, NY; Edward G. Green, Ryan D. Green of DeRuyter, NY; Laura E. Stephens; and Matthew G. Stephens of Newport News, VA; great-grandchildren, Riley W. and Hunter C. Drake of Elmira, NY, Madeline M. Drake of Big Flats, NY, and Hayleigh R. Drake of Horseheads, NY.Several nieces and nephews also survive Elizabeth.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Friday, February 11th, 2005 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at the conclusion of the calling hours at 1:00 PM.Deacon George Welch will officiate. Graveside services will follow in St. Peter and Paul?s Cemetery, Elmira, NY.Elizabeth was a truly devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her enjoyment came from caring for her family.
