Ellen GilbertAge 64 Of Elmira, NY Passed away on Tuesday March 4, 2014 at her home.She is survived by her home residents, and caregivers of the ARC Liberty House Also survived by her siblings, Annamary (Jerry) Ingerick, Peter Gilbert, Rita Gilbert, and Walter (Suong) Gilbert; her aunt, Veronica Doud; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ellen was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Rita Gilbert and her brother, Harry Gilbert. Ellen had a smile that could light up the heavens and she gave the best bear hugs. She loved her coffee, peanut butter cups, music, attention from others, her favorite caregivers and testing new caregivers. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10:30 AM at St Peter and Paul’s Church, 556 St. Joseph’s Boulevard, Elmira, NY.Those wishing may make memorials to The ARC Liberty House, 525 Liberty Street, Elmira, NY 14904 in Ellen’s memory.The family would like to extend a special appreciation to the numerous present and past caregivers throughout Ellen’s life.Also to the nurses and staff of 3B at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, for their wonderful care and kindness.
