Erma E. Rumsey

Age 83, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Elcor Health Services.Erma was born November 21, 1920 in Elmira, the daughter of the late Leonard and Susie (Randall) Walker.She is survived by sons, Richard (Faye) Shook of Huntsville, AL, Robert (Margaret) Shook of Horseheads, NY, Orson (Irene) Rumsey of Beaver Dams, NY; daughter, Lucinda Watson of Denver, CO; son, Randy (Kim) Rumsey of Houston, TX; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; numerous step-children and step-grandchildren.Erma is predeceased by her husband, Orson Rumsey and 8 other siblings.She was a homemaker who loved crocheting animals and afghans, playing cards, and reading.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira on Friday, January 16, 2004 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with funeral service immediately following calling hours (2:00 pm).Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira.Those wishing may make memorials to the charity of one?s choice.A ?Candle of Remembrance? may be left for the family at www.olthof.com.
