Erv Braun (1945-2016) Erv Braun peacefully passed away on July 10th, 2016 at the age of 71, in his hometown of Elmira, New York. Erv was born on February 2, 1945 with a banjo in his hands.In his early years, his musical mastery was developed playing alongside his parents, Erving and Genevieve von Braun.He won his first talent competition by the age of 4 and in his late teens and early twenties became well known to listeners throughout the state of New York as “Von Braun.”With his love of motocross racing and his proven entertainment skills he gained legendary status as the “Voice of Supercross”.In addition, Erv was an advocate for natural health care and human rights.His larger than life personality will never be forgotten. Erv is survived by his beloved soulmate of 47 years, Win Atwell, his children Xzane (Ann Braun), Ysreen (Jeff Shores), Zya (Gretchen Braun), and Zegin, hisstep-children, Andrew (Kim Bedient) and Kelly, and his grandchildren, Xzane, Zachary, Zalayna, Zayda, Zavior, Zanden, Zabriel, Ava, andZya. At Erv’s instructions he was cremated.He asked that his family and friends celebrate his life through joyful reflection of times spent together.Prior to his passing Erv was ministered to by prayers and passages of all faiths, including Native American, Jewish and Christian.
