Age 93, of 828 Hazel Street, Elmira, NY passed away in the Tioga Nursing Facility, Waverly, NY on Saturday, November 26, 2005, after a stay of two months.Esther was born in the Town of Elmira on October 9, 1912 to the late James and Mary (Greatsinger) Green. She was the widow of Lloyd ?Scotty? Spencer who passed away March 15, 1999.Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Jo (Mark) Moody of Waverly, NY; beloved brother, Louis J. (Gladys) Green of Elmira; dear friend and school mate, Aurelia Campbell; along with many nieces and nephews.Esther graduated from Southside High School and Nursing School in Olean, NY. She did private duty at both area hospitals and industrial nursing at many area-manufacturing plants. She tired from the Elmira College Infirmary in late 1969. She was a civilian Army post nurse in Atlanta, GA during WW II. Esther was a Girl Scout leader for many years and will be remembered for her honesty, kindness, and fair play; a true ?Libra?.At Esther?s request there will be no services and interment will be in Woodlawn National Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
