Esther A. Tallo

Age 91, of Dewitt Ave. Elmira, NY passed away peacefully Saturday, October 25, 2003 at St. Joseph?s Hospital with her family at her side. She was born June 20, 1912 in Moosic, PA the daughter of the late John Robert and Mary Ellen (Coolbaugh) Burnside. Esther was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years; James V. Tallo in 1986; grandson, David Queen in 2002. Her loving children survive her: James J. (Marlene) Tallo of Binghamton, NY; Sharon A. Tallo of Elmira Heights, NY; Karen Queen of Elmira, NY; Joan DeWick of Preston, CT; Mary (Larry) Jirkovsky of High Springs, FL; beloved grandchildren, Diane (Ted) Storti of Conklin, NY; James (Julie) Tallo of Endicott, NY; Michelle (Mike) German of Elmira, NY; Mathew (Kristen) Segur of New London, CT; great grandchildren, Rachel, Renee and Brandon; along with several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours. (2 PM)The Reverend Rene Carrillo will officiate. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Those wishing may direct memorial contributions to a charity of their choice.
