Eugene S. Grover

Age 88, of Elmira, NY, died on Wednesday November 24, 2010at St. Joseph's Hospital, Elmira, NY of natural causes.He was born in 1922 the son of the late Harry and Esma (Cornell) Grover.Eugene was survived by his children, daughters, Barbara Pariso of Elmira, and Paula Jones of Bethel, OH and son, Thomas Groverof Alexandria, VA,brothers, Harry Grover Sr, David, Dale and Dean, also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Grace Grover, in April 2006.Eugene grew up during the great depression and was forced to quit school in the 8th grade to help support the family. He was a United States Army Veteran of WW II. Eugene retired in 1982 after 32 years of dedicated service with IBM.Friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Sunday November 28, 2010, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Sunday at 3:00 PM, Pastor Jane Winters will officiate.Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
