Evelyn L. Baker

Evelyn L. Baker, 83, of Millerton, PA passed away on May 13, 2017 surrounded by her three sons. She was predeceased by her parents, Rexford and Helen Brewer Smith; brother, Delbert Smith and great-grandchild, Emma. Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 65 Years, Harold Baker; children, Rick (Patti) Baker of Dallas, TX, Randy (Priscilla) Baker of Austin, TX and Lee (Tracy) Baker of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Tyler, Steffan, Madison, Riley, Hannah and Thomas; great-grandchild, Gracie; sisters, Virginia Stephens and Irene Burnham; Tyler and Steffan’s mother, Tina; A special thank you to Rosie and David Warner, Patty and David Chappell and Margaret and Tim Teed and her physicians and nurses for their wonderful care and support. Evelyn was a 1952 graduate of Williamson High School. She retired from Sears after over 25 years of service. During her retirement she enjoyed spending her winters in Florida. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 452. Evelyn had a passion for her flowers and animals, especially her dogs, Duffy and Gordon. She also had a love for NASCAR and Jeff Gordon. Evelyn was a devoted wife, loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 7 P.M. at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira. Evelyn will be laid to rest in Jobs Corners Cemetery on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11 A.M.
