Of Millerton, PA, was born August 8, 1932 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Michael and Fannie (Skorodinski) Sopp.Fannie passed away very unexpectedly at her home early Sunday morning, January 15, 2006, at the age of 73.Fannie married Rexford J. Card March 7, 1950 in Elmira Heights, NY.They have enjoyed 55 wonderful years of life and love together. Along with her loving husband Rex, her survivors include her beloved children, Evelyn (Phillip) Arnold of Millerton, PA; Susan (Kenneth) Johnson of Muskegon, MI; Kevin (Mary) Card of Millerton, PA; much-loved grandchildren, Shawn (Kelly) Arnold, Tim (Penny) Arnold, and Michelle (Brett) Bourdette all of Millerton, PA; adored great grandchildren, Michael and Mason Arnold also of Millerton, PA; sisters, Anna (Ross) Hapeman of Elmira, NY; Eva (Orvis) Swisher of Beaver Dams, NY; Dorothy (David) Matison of Horseheads, NY; Florence Waters, also of Horseheads, NY; sister-in-laws and brothers-in-law, Hilda Allen of Elmira Heights, NY; Mary (Wilbur) Friends of Horseheads, NY; Josephine (Marion) Smith of Elmira Heights, NY; Nils (Pat) Card of Millerton, PA; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Several brothers and sisters also predeceased her.In 1949, Fannie graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School in Elmira Heights. She retired from Trayer Products with 20 + years of dedicated service as an inspector.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Memorial Service honoring Fannie?s life will be celebrated following the visitation. (7:00 PM) Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate.The family will provide their own flowers. Memorial donations may be directed to the Millerton Volunteer Fire Department, 16 North Road, Millerton, PA 16936 or to a charity of one?s choice in Fannie?s memory.
