Fannie J. Kelley Age 88, A lifelong Resident of Southport, NY passed away on Wednesday September 9, 2009 at Chemung County Nursing Facility. Fannie was the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie (Kniffen) Lovejoy. She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years Charles E. Kelley. Fannie is survived by her sons: James M. (Betty) Kelley, Larry P. Kelley, and Robert C. Kelley, grandchildren James C. (Carrie) Kelley, Bryan P. and Brad M. Kelley, great grandchildren, Jhenilynn, James Michael, Alyssa Jayne, Alivia Mae, and Tyler, also her nephew Donnie (Lorraine) McIntosh along with several other nieces and nephews. Also her extended family from the Elmira Pioneers, Rafael (Maria), Fernando (Rosie), Keith (Mary) and Tony. Fannie was also predeceased by her brothers, Harold, Doran, Charles and Harry Lovejoy, sisters, Gertrude McIntosh and Margaret Patrick. Fannie was a waitress at the Mark Twain Hotel in Elmira, NY. She and her husband Charles operated Lovejoy's Corner Store, on Beecher and Perine St. in Elmira. But most of all she was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed baking for family and friends.The family will receive friends at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue Elmira/ Southport on Saturday September 12, 2009 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Sunday September 13, at 1:00 PM. Fannie will be laid to rest next to her husband Charles at Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or the charity of one's choice. The family would like to thank Fannie's extended family Cindy Evans and the entire staff on the 6th floor of Chemung County Nursing Facility, along with Cliff Murphy, for all their care, kindness, and help given to Fannie during her time there."Leave a loving legacy."
