Of Christian Hollow Road, Pine City, NY, was born July 8, 1923 in Rathbone, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Virginia (Wood) Dailey.Florence passed away on Monday, December 6, 2004 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 81. Her sister, Iona Coleman, predeceased Florence. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Sonny Horner of Bellfonte, PA; beloved grandchildren, Victoria Dailey of Elmira, NY; Scott (Kathryn) Sunday of New Hampshire; Steve (Elise) Sunday of Colorado; Shannon (Shawn) Fye of Pennsylvania; much-loved great grandchildren, Brian & Isaac; Matt & Miles; Ella & Neva; Jasmine & Dylan; sisters, Evelyn Harndon of New York; Patty Lou (Harry) Clemens of Virginia; along with several nieces, especially Beverly Covell, nephews, and many close friends. Florence took great pride and joy in caring for her grandsons, Brian and Isaac, and also enjoyed attending their various sporting events. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Thursday, December 9, 2004 from 3 to 5 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation. (5:00 PM) Her neighbor and friend, Reverend Donald Rockwell will officiate. Interment will take place privately and at the convenience of the family in the Fitzsimmons Cemetery in Southport, NY.
