Florence M. Emms

Age 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2004 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility where she resided. She was born January 28, 1907 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late John and Mattie (Hyde) Packard. Florence was predeceased by her loving husband, Roy Emms in 1992; son, Robert Rarrick in 1951; along with 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her dearly loved children, Ralph (Juanita) Rarrick of Endwell, NY; Rosemarie (Kenneth) Eshbach of Reading, PA; Shirley (John) Morgan of Clifton Park, NY; Thomas Emms of Elmira, NY; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Florence attended St. Peter and Paul?s grade school in her earlier years. From 1936 to 1948 the Remington Rand in Elmira employed her. She was a wonderful homemaker, enjoyed flowers and loved watching wildlife out her windows at home. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated at the Southport Crematorium, Inc. at a time convenient to her family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home on Friday, September 10, 2004 from 7 to 8 PM. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 8:00 PM with Deacon George Welch and Sister Mary Brigid McCarthy celebrating her life.
