Florence Mae Waltman

Age 74 of Elmira, NYWent to be with the Lord on April 29, 2009 At Elcor Health Services, Horseheads, NYShe was the daughter of the late Carlye and Edna (Baker) Bagley. Florence is survived by her husband Lynn Waltman, children, Lynnette (Joe) Balch, Lois (Brian) Bockus, Lisa (Rick) Walker, Leah (Travis) Birdsall, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister, Connie ( Jeff) Clay, brother in-law, Reverend Don Keller, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Waltman, son Lynn Waltman Jr., and sister Ellen Keller.She was a member of the Elmira Wesleyan Church, member of the Woman's Mission Society, a Sunday School Teacher and a junior church leader. Florence was also a part of the Woman's Home Bureau, a Girl Scout Leader, volunteered with the American Red Cross Blood Bank Drives. She retired from the Chemung County Nursing Facility as a CNY/Activities Aide, She was a Matrin at the Chemung County Jail. and in her spare time she enjoyed crafts.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, on Sunday May 3, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM . Funeral and Committal Service will be held there on Monday May 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM, Pastor GaryMammarello and Pastor Edward Crandall will officiate. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorial's to the Elmira Wesleyan Church, Lynn Waltman Jr., Children's Camp Fund, 1100 South Main St., Elmira, NY 14904. The family would like to thank the Elcor Health Service's Doctors, Nurses and staff and Southern Tier Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. for the love, kindness and care given to Florence during her illness.
