Floyd R. BennettAge 71 of Gillett, PA went to be with his Lord on Friday December 13, 2013 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean S. Bennett; children, Tim (Vicky) Bennett, Chris (Patti) Bennett, Tammy (Bruce) Andrus, Karen (Jason) Akers, and Ronald (Stacy) Bennett; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter due in February; sister, Virginia (Harry) Bonnell; brother, Douglas (Carol) Bennett; sister, Doris Gowin, numerous nieces and nephews. Also life long best friend Peter Baker.Lifetime member of the Pennsylvania Hunting Club. He was a carpenter in the Gillett area for many years. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM with Funeral and Committal service there at 6:00 PM. Interment will be in Baptist Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.Family will provide their own flowers.
