Frances Norrine Schott

Age 86 of 113 Underwood Avenue, Elmira, passed away Monday, July 6th, 2009 at home, surrounded by George, her loving husband and friend of 65 years.Norrine was born the 28th day of December 1922 in Elmira. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Nelson Bystrom. In addition to her husband George Schott, Norrine is also dearly missed by her children, Richard "Dick" (Eugenie) Schott of West Yarmouth, MA, Nancy Schott of Columbus, OH, Barbara (Larry) Senn of Jamestown, NY; six grandchildren, Susannah (Nate) Criser of West Yarmouth, MA, Amanda (Tom) Price of Charlotte, NC, Kate (Jeff) David of Sacramento, CA, Elizabeth Tussing of Columbus, OH, Ryan (Kelly) Senn of Randolph, NJ, Laura (Adam) Miller of Tonawanda, NY; 4 great grandchildren, Abby Criser, Noel Criser, Benjamin Price, and Grant Price; brother, Frank (Dorie) Bystrom of Hobe Sound, FL; brother-in-law, Everett Schott of Elmira, along with several nieces,nephews, and beloved caregivers, Laura, Pat, Porky, Roxanne and Marcia. Calling hours will be held at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 256 South Walnut St., Elmira, NY from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 11th, 2009. Funeral services will begin at the church at 1:00 PM. Reverend Abigail Zang Hoffman will officiate.A Luncheon Reception will follow immediately in the Fellowship Hall. Norrine will best be remembered for the love she had for her family, home, and baseball. She devoted many volunteer hours in the gift shop of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, and she was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church.
