Francis J. Caparulo

Caparulo, Francis J. 74 of Elmira, NY passed away Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Born in Elmira the 10th of July 1939; He was the son of the late Francis R. and Florence (Fossaceca) Caparulo. Surviving is his loving wife, and dear friend of 51 years Joan (Sobkowski) Caparulo; Sister: Marietta Davis of Elmira; Niece and God Child Melissa Davis; God Children: Steven Fossaceca , and Sara Lowenstein. During his illness Fran was surrounded by special friends David Hyer and Rose Brooks, and John and Linda Cicora. Fran worked for Hilliard Corp. for over 37 years. He was a man of great faith and communicant of the Blessed Sacrament Parish in Elmira. He had a strong work ethic enjoyed and valued his family and friends throughout his life. He loved his time spent at the lake, and wintering in Myrtle Beach. He was a member of the Sullivan Trail Rod and Gun Club for over 50 years. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Prayer services will be shared Friday, April 11th at 8:15AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Church at 9:30AM. Graveside committal prayers will be offered following at the St. Peter and Pauls Cemetery. Reverend Father Walter Wainwright will officiate. Those wishing please make memorials in Francis J.
