Frank W. Vondracek

Age 87, of Elmira, NY, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.Frank was born on June 4, 1923 the son of the late Frank and Anna (Burris) Vondracek. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty, sons; David (Anne) Vondracek and Dale (Melinda) Vondracek, grandchildren; Sarah, Frank, Jesse, and Andria Vondracek, sisters; Margaret Leszyk ,Helen Hall, brother in law; Dr. Eugene (Crystal) Cooperalong with several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his sister; Frances Schultz and brother; George Vondracek. He was employed by the Gulf Oil Company in Elmira Heights as a delivery and salesman.He was a craftsman wholoved building and repairing things. Frank was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church, was an avid hunterand a quietvolunteer for Meals on Wheelsthe AARP and RSVP .Calling Hours will be held at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira/Southport on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 12 (noon) to 2 pm. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Bethany Lutheran Church, 258 South Walnut Street, Elmira, NY 14904. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorial donations to the Bethany Lutheran Church.
