GILL, Franklin R. Russ Age 80Of Wellsburg, NY passed away on Sunday June 22, 2008 at Elcor Health Services, Horseheads, NY. He is survived by his children Sherrie (Bob) Cuozzo, Diane Payne, and Russell Gill, grandchildren, John (Amie) Buzako, Patrick (Vivian) Buzako, Scott Payne (fianc Shannon Vrabel), and Alicia Payne, great grandchildren, Zachary & Allison Buzako, MacKenzie & Morgan Vrabel, sister, Sally Burnside. Franklin was predeceased by his mother, Charity L. Head Gill (Hill), father, Arthur Gill, step father, LaVerne Hill, wife, Betty Little Gill, brothers, Charles and Robert Gill, also several step brothers and sisters.Russ was a member of the Ridgebury Sportsmens Club, a former member of the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department and the Webb Mills Volunteer Fire Department, member of the Elmira Heights American Legion #154, member of the Elmira Loyal Order of Moose and the Elmira V.F.W.. He enjoyed camping on Pine Creek in Gaines, PA, an avid deer and rabbit hunter. Russ enjoyed playing cards, he especially loved Euchre. He worked for the Remington Rand, and Dalrymple Construction Company. Russ was the Owner of Elmira Chrome Plating, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed a prosperous side business selling Russs horseradish, mustard and pepperoni for many years.Russ served in the United States Army.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Tuesday June 24, 2008 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Interment will take place on Wednesday June 25, 2008 in Phoenix Cemetery, Gaines PA at the convenience of the family.
