Frederick A. Stone

was born September 29, 1926 in Susquehanna, PA the son of the late Stanley and Ella Merle (Buck) Stone passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the Elcor Health Services in Horseheads, NY at the age of 84. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Helen G. "Betty" Stone, beloved son, Philip A. "Phil" (Michele) Stone, and sister; Geraldine McKnight of Zepher Hills, FL. Frederick was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He retired as Chief of the Domicilary Operations at the VA Medical Center in Bath, NY after several years of dedicated service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II with the rank of Sergeant. He was a life member of the following organizations in Bath: American Legion, VFW,Masons and Elks. At his request there will be no calling hours. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of his family at the Columbarium at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Bath, NY. Family and friends are invited to remember him by making a contribution to either Memorial Fund at Trinity Episcopal Church, 304 North Main Street, Elmira, NY 14901 or St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, 122 Liberty Street, Bath, NY 14810.
