Frieda Olive Schnautz

Age 98, formerly of Esty St.,Elmira, NY, died Sunday, February 20, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital. Born July 3, 1906 to the late Alfred and Katharine Stahli Schwab of Pennsylvania, Freida was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Elmer W.C. Schnautz, and grandson, Larry Schnautz. She is survived by her children; Carl (Sara) Schnautz of Horseheads, NY, Earl E. Schnautz of Elmira, NY, and Barbara A. Schnautz of Elmira, NY, grandchildren; Charles (Helena) Schnautz of Horseheads, NY, Donna Schnautz of Elmira, Karen (Tim) Mezzatesta of Cumming, GA, Thomas (Susan) Schnautz of Horseheads, NY, Melinda Carpenter of Elmira, and Earle Schnautz of Elmira,and 8 great-grandchildren.Freida was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church for over 60 years and loved gardening and cooking.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. , Elmira on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, with Funeral Service there Tuesday at 1:00 PM. The Rev. Mari Rockwell will officiate. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
