Gary Wayne Benjamin

Benjamin, Gary Wayne age 76 of Millerton, Pa passed away unexpectedly at home; Saturday evening November 26th, 2022. Gary was the son of the late Bernice (Webb) and Robert Benjamin: Born: May 23, 1946 in Elmira, NY. His is predeceased by his first wife Darlene Marie (Grinnell) Benjamin in 2005; Step Father David Scriven in 1976; Sister: Gloria Scranton in 2016.

He is survived by his wife Christina M. Benjamin of Millerton; Daughter and son in law: Lesley (Michael) Heintzelman of Millerton; Daughter: Jeannine Reese of Mansfield, Pa; Son: Matthew G. Benjamin of Millerton; Step Daughter: April (Ricky) Dake of Millerton; Grandchildren: Kayla, Paige and Logan Heintzelman,  Zachary, Carlie, and Cameron Reese, Megan and Alisha Benjamin and Step-grandchildren Jacob, Ashley and Caleb Heater; Two step great grandsons: Dalton and Derek Heater; Sister: Linda (Paul) Rossman of Corning, NY; Several nieces and nephews and brother in law Denny Scranton of Corning; and his companion "Livie-Lou". Gary was the owner and operator Benjamin Refrigeration. He was very well known throughout the area as being very honest, fair, and prompt. In service to his country he was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a jack of all trades  and was not afraid of any task accept for sitting still. He loved to hunt, fish, play golf, and an avid  collector. If there was a dance floor he was always ready to partake and have a great time. He was a member of the B.O.P.E. Elmira Elks lodge #62 and the Big Flats American Legion Skinner Earnest Post #1612 and the Tower Hill Hunting camp. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at 11:00AM. Graveside committal services will follow at the Jobs Corners Cemetery with full military honors accorded.
