Gene Martin Cleveland Sr.

Gene M. Cleveland Sr., age 63, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Gene was born April 29, 1953 in St. Paul, Alberta, Canada, the son of the late Arthur and Violet Malkin. He was also predeceased by his adopted parents, Ernest and Evelyn Cleveland; and brother, Roy Cleveland. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Elaine Root Cleveland of Elmira, NY; children, Jessica, Gene Jr. and Chris (Elizabeth Cain); brother, Terry Cleveland; sister-in-law, Mary Backer; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Per Gene’s request there will be no funeral service or calling hours. There will be a memorial service for family and close friends at a later date.
