George K. Hudson

Age 91, formerly of Sagetown Road Pine City, NY passed away on Friday, November 19, 2004 peacefully at Elcor Health Services in Horseheads, NY. He was born May 5, 1913 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Samuel and Harriet (Robbins) Hudson. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Dorothy Hudson and dearly loved son, Stewart Hudson. George is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Janis and David Messing of Pine City, NY; loved grandson, Joshua Messing also of Pine City, NY; special friend, Mary Pounds of Elmira, NY. George retired from Westinghouse, Inc. after several years of faithful and dedicated service in the electrical maintenance department. He was an Amateur Ham Radio Operator since the age of 15 when he received his license. George also helped many others receive their ham radio licensing. He was a lifetime member of the Antique Wireless Association. A man of many interests and multi talented, George did everything for himself and had an inventive way about himself. He also had a deep love for trains. At his request all services will be held privately. Interment will take place in the Webb Mills Cemetery Webb Mills, NY at the convenience of his family. Memorial Donations may be directed to Southern Tier Hospice, 11751 E. Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830 in his memory.
